Panoramic View of a High Arctic Glacier

This is a panoramic view of the John Evans glacier in the High Canadian Arctic. The animation will begin when all the images are loaded (approx. 200kB). Move your mouse over the animation to stop it; move the mouse away to start it again. You will need a javascript-enabled browser to see the full effect.

The animation starts at a point looking north-east and rotates in a clockwise direction, making one full rotation of 360 degrees in about ten seconds. If you cannot see the full effect, try quitting any other applications to increase your computer's available memory. Please wait for all the images to finish loading too. This animation was created from a set of still photographs (apologies for the lines where they are joined) provided by Luke Copland of the University of Ottawa.
