"You're right. It's very difficult to find shelter here, especially in the winter. The cold temperature combined with the little amount of moisture here makes it nearly impossible for trees to grow. For the animals and people away from their permanent homes however, there is still shelter in the Arctic. Large rocks, digging into snow drifts to create snow dens, even igloos are great, assuming you have a good saw to build blocks out of snow. Natural shelters also exist, like glacier caves. Come to think of it, I think I recall seeing a glacier cave nearby..." |
